Local heritage listing
Built c1879
Steeped in village history!
This is the oldest building in Cudal. Research shows that the building, the c1879 "Club House Hotel", was important in the early days of Cudal and when Sir Henry Parkes visited to lay the foundations of the School of Arts building in 1881, he was given a banquet at the Club House Hotel and stayed there overnight. The Club House Hotel was on the Cobb & Co trail and was used as a stopover on the route from Orange to Forbes.
There is an opportunity to turn this amazing old Inn into a smaller, more efficient venue, which could provide an old style, small and intimate Inn, with short stay accommodation rooms for the tourist passing through. With its Main street presence, it is the perfect location for this type of venue.
